Gulliver's Run
Gulliver's Run is an annual trail event held at Gifford Pinchot State Park in Lewisberry, PA to raise funds for canine cancer research and treatment. The event donates proceeds to organizations and veterinary practices involved in fighting canine cancer and has raised $153,000 since 2013.
Distances:
- 5k run
- 3.5k walk
The course is wheel measured and professionally timed, with chip timing for runners and self-time-checking available for walkers at the finish. The trail runs through forest terrain and includes rocks, roots, uneven footing, and moderate hills. Trail width varies and sections may be muddy or wet depending on weather; participants are advised to consider trail conditions and their routine training.
Dogs are welcome but must be licensed and up to date with vaccinations, with proof of rabies vaccination required. Dogs must be leashed and under control at all times; flexi-leashes are not permitted. Sociable dogs are welcome but the race director may exclude any dog for apparent health concerns on race day. Two water stops are available on the course, with restrooms and parking at the venue. Awards are given to canine-human teams and solo runners in overall and age group categories, plus special awards and a traveling challenge trophy for veterinary practice giving the highest donation.
