Gulf Beach Half Marathon
The Gulf Beach Half Marathon is a USATF-certified road half marathon (Course #CT19028JHP) held in Milford, Connecticut. The 2026 edition serves as the RRCA Connecticut State Championship. The route runs along Milford beaches and the Silver Sands State Park boardwalk and is described by organizers as a flat, road course.
Aid stations are located at miles 2.75, 4.75, 6.75, 8.75 and 10.75 and are stocked with Poland Spring Water and Gatorade Endurance. Bathrooms and porto-lets are provided at the start/finish and near miles 3, 4.5, 8.5 and 10. Additional facilities are planned for 2026.
Venue and local logistics: the start/finish is at Gulf Beach and lot 635 Gulf St., Milford, CT 06460. Beach lots and on-street parking are available; organizers hold a permit for 300 resident-only lot spaces until 11am and note there are additional legal side-street spots within a quarter mile. Parking where prohibited may result in ticketing or towing.
Entrant items and awards include men's and women's cut short sleeve tech shirts, custom finisher medals (two medal options), postrace Poland Spring Water, Gatorade Endurance, bagels and bananas, and awards for the top three overall and five-year age divisions from 15 to 80+. Transponder timing records gun and net time; results are streamed live and distributed by text and email. Transfers and deferrals are permitted for a fee until 8/12/2026. No refunds.
