Gulf Beach Half Marathon - Milford, CT
The Gulf Beach Half Marathon is scheduled for September 12, 2026, at the Gulf Beach Recreation Area, 550 Gulf St., Milford, CT. The event is a road half marathon that follows the Milford shoreline and includes the Silver Sands State Park boardwalk. The course is USATF certified (CT19028JHP).
The course uses Gulf Street for its start area while other roads remain open to traffic; police or volunteers staff most intersections. A time cutoff for the half marathon is 3 hours 30 minutes. An early start option is available for runners expecting finishes in the 2:45 to 3:30 range; early-start participants must follow organizer rules and may be disqualified if they do not meet posted restrictions.
On-course support includes aid stations at miles 2.75, 4.75, 6.75, 8.75 and 10.75 stocked with water and Gatorade Endurance. Bathrooms and porta-lets are provided at the start and finish and near miles 3, 4.5, 8.5 and 10. Amenities for entrants include men's and women's cut short-sleeve tech shirts, custom finisher medals, refreshments at the finish (water, Gatorade Endurance, bagels, bananas), live/text/email results, and free finish-line photos.
Registration follows non-refundable terms; fees are applied to race expenses and entries are not transferable. Bib pickup is available from event staff beginning one hour before the race start; participants should know their bib number or use on-site self-lookup. Awards are custom pint pilsner glass trophies for top three male and female overall and top three in age groups from 10-14 through 80+.
