Gulf Beach Half Marathon Shoreline Sharks
The Gulf Beach Half Marathon Shoreline Sharks is a half marathon held at Gulf Beach Recreation Area in Milford, Connecticut (550 Gulf St.). The course runs along Milford beaches and includes the Silver Sands State Park boardwalk. It is a USATF certified course (CT19028JHP).
Race-day amenities listed for entrants include men's and women's cut short sleeve technical shirts, custom finisher medals, finish-line refreshments such as water, Gatorade Endurance, fresh bagels and bananas, live/text/email results, and free finish line photos and same-day video.
Aid stations are located at approximately miles 2.75, 4.75, 6.75, 8.75 and 10.75 and are stocked with water and Gatorade Endurance. Bathrooms and portable toilets are available at the start and finish and near miles 3, 4.5, 8.5 and 10. Gulf Street is closed for the start area while other roads along the course remain open to traffic; police or volunteers staff most intersections.
Awards are custom pint pilsner glass awards for the top three male and top three female overall finishers and for the top three male and female in multiple age groups from 14 and under through 80 and over.
Event information notes that registration is not yet open. On-site bib pickup requires knowing a bib number or using a self lookup area. Parking is available in beach lots and on-street, with a permited resident lot of about 300 spaces at the venue and additional legal spaces within roughly a quarter mile.
