Gulf Beach Half Marathon
The Gulf Beach Half Marathon takes place in Milford, Connecticut on Saturday September 12, 2026, with the venue at Gulf Beach and lot 635 Gulf St. The course runs along the beaches of Milford and includes the Silver Sands State Park boardwalk. The route is USATF certified (CT19028JHP) and has aid stations roughly every two miles stocked with Poland Spring Water and Gatorade Endurance. Portable toilets and bathrooms are provided at the start and finish and at multiple locations along the course.
Event services include transponder timing with gun and net results, live results streaming, and downloadable race photos and finisher certificates. All entrants receive men's or women's cut short sleeve tech t-shirts and custom finisher medals, with two medal options available. Finish-line refreshments include water, sports drink, bagels and bananas. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and in five-year age divisions from 15 through 80+.
Logistics note that bibs and shirts are available only during registration pickup on the Friday before the race and on race day; they are not shipped. Transfers and deferrals are permitted for a fee until 8/12/2026. The event has a half marathon time cutoff of 3:30; early starts are allowed for runners targeting a 2:30 to 3:30 finish and specific rules apply. The race history includes USATF certification in 2019 and designation as RRCA championship events in recent years. Runners from all 50 states and several other countries have participated.
