GTC Sunrise Run 8K, Simpsonville
The GTC Sunrise Run is presented by the Greenville Track Club and will mark its 46th running in Simpsonville. The event is part of the Corporate Shield series and is staged around First Baptist Church, Simpsonville, with the 8K course starting on Church Street in front of the First Baptist Simpsonville Activities Building. A new course record of 24:05.8 is listed for the event.
All entrants receive a yoga microfiber towel and socks as giveaways. Packet pick up is scheduled on Friday, June 13 at Run In, 102 E. Curtis Street, Simpsonville, from noon to 6:00 pm. Race day packet pick up will be at First Baptist Church, 3 Hedge Street, Simpsonville, from 5:00 am to 6:00 am.
There is ample parking around the church, including church-owned lots and on-street parking. The section of Church Street in front of the Activities Building will be closed. Park Drive, the road through Gracely Park and past the Simpsonville Cemetery, is reserved for the Simpsonville Farmers Market and is not available for event parking.
Awards include RunIn gift cards for overall and masters winners, plus awards by division. Prizes are listed for overall, masters, grandmasters, and age groups through 80 and over.
