GTC Sunrise Run 8k

The GTC Sunrise Run is an annual summer morning event held in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Hosted by the Greenville Track Club in partnership with local sponsors, this race marks its 47th year and serves as a Corporate Shield event. The competition takes place on an 8k route that is USATF certified and noted for being a fast course. Currently, five South Carolina age group records and an overall course record of 23:54 have been established on this layout.

The race starts on Church Street, specifically in front of the First Baptist Simpsonville Activities Building. Participants receive race giveaways including a lightweight daypack and socks. Packet pick-up is available the day before the event at a local running store in Simpsonville or on the morning of the race at the First Baptist Church.

Ample parking is available in church-owned lots and on nearby streets, though certain sections of Church Street are closed for the event. Organizers request that participants avoid parking on Park Drive to accommodate the local farmers market. The event includes an awards ceremony near the finish line.
