Event overview
Gritty Chix Mud Run is a non-competitive mud and obstacle event on June 20, 2026 at ACE Adventure Resort in Oak Hill, West Virginia. The event is open to participants ages 10 and up; those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The event donates a portion of proceeds to a charity partner selected each year.

- Moxie Mile - 1 mile mud course
- Tenacious Trail - 5K woodland trail with additional mud holes
Course and format
Both courses use woodland trails that converge on a mud obstacle area. Obstacles vary in difficulty and can be bypassed if a participant prefers. Water and first aid stations are positioned along the trails and at the finish area. The event is described as family-friendly and inclusive of teams and individual participants. Spectators are allowed and may watch from several course areas and the finish line.
Amenities, pricing and policies
Registered participants receive a finish-line medal. Registrations received by May 31, 2026 include a free event shirt (limited sizes). Other on-site amenities include secure bag check, shower houses and changing rooms, shuttle service between parking and shower facilities, free parking, hiking-trail access, live music at The Lost Paddle, and prizes for categories such as best costume and largest team. Pricing tiers for each distance are listed as Early Bird $55, Advance $65, and Day-of $75. Participants must complete a general liability waiver before arrival.
