Gritty Chix Mud Run - ACE Adventure Resort
Gritty Chix Mud Run is a non-competitive mud run taking place on June 20, 2026 at ACE Adventure Resort in Oak Hill, West Virginia. The event is presented with an emphasis on camaraderie and fun; it is aimed at women and girls ages 10 and up, and participants of all genders are also welcome. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Two course options are offered:
- Moxie Mile: 1 mile
- Tenacious Trail: 5K
Both courses use woodland trails that converge on a shared mud obstacle area. The course includes obstacles and mud pits; obstacles vary in difficulty and may be bypassed if desired. Water and first aid stations are located along the trails and at the finish area. A race medal is provided at the finish and registrants who sign up before May 31, 2026 are eligible for a complimentary event shirt.
Event amenities listed include secure bag check, shower houses and changing rooms, shuttle service to parking and shower facilities, free parking, hiking trail access, and live music at The Lost Paddle. Prizes are planned for categories such as best costume, largest team, furthest traveled, and most creative team name. A portion of event proceeds will benefit a charitable organization; the partner for this year is to be announced. No pets are allowed and all participants must complete an event waiver.
