Event
Grim Leodis is a trail running event held at the canal just off Wyther Lane in Kirkstall, following sections of the Leeds Liverpool Canal and the River Aire. The organiser offers multiple race distances and the event is licensed by the Trail Running Association under UKA rules.

Course and support
The route is undulating and mixes canal towpath, river bank, trail and a short road section. Terrain is listed as towpath, trail and road. The course is both marshalled and signed. Feed stations are provided at about every three miles and the event operates a cup-less system; runners are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle. GPX files are available for navigation.
Practical information
There is a cut-off time of 6.5 hours to complete the course. Parking is provided at Morrison in Kirkstall (currently free all day). Earphone use is discouraged; large over-ear headphones are banned and alternatives such as bone-conducting or single-ear pieces are suggested. Age restrictions apply: most longer distances require entrants to be 18 or over; the 6.55-mile option is open to entrants aged 16 or over. Entry fees vary by distance (example prices in source range from about £26 to £42). Finisher items include a bespoke medal and end-of-race goodies.
