The Grim Leodis Challenge is a 6.5-mile undulating loop race held near Wyther Lane, Kirkstall, alongside the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and the River Aire. The course features a mix of canal towpath, riverbank trails, and a short road section, offering runners varied terrain and scenic views. The lapped route is well marshalled and signed, with well-stocked feed stations approximately every three miles.

Participants receive a bespoke finisher's medal and post-race goodies. The event emphasizes environmental care by encouraging reusable cups and has safety measures such as a headphone policy and downloadable GPX route files for navigation.
