The Griffith Park Trail Marathon event takes place Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Griffith Park - Merry-Go-Round Lot 1 in Los Angeles, CA. The event offers multiple distances:

The Spring edition is the 16th running of this series. Bib pickup is held at the start line on race morning. The event has held previous editions with results and photos from past years.
Course and support
The marathon course is an out-and-back that uses a mix of single-track trails and double-track fire roads and reaches the summit area by the Hollywood sign. Runners on the marathon course are given 9 hours to finish. There are multiple aid stations along the routes, including Joe Klass Aid (Mile 2.5, full aid), Bird Sanctuary (around Mile 5, water only), and Mineral Wells (around Mile 8.5, full aid). Additional aid stations and drop-bag locations are placed further along the course for longer distances.
Location and travel
Griffith Park is located near Hollywood Boulevard, Silverlake, and Los Feliz. The park is described as roughly a half-hour from Los Angeles International Airport and closer to Burbank-Glendale Airport. Travel and lodging should be arranged locally.
