Greensboro Distilling Speakeasy 5K
The Greensboro Distilling Speakeasy 5K is a nighttime road race held in downtown Greensboro. The out and back course follows street lit roads and is USATF measured. The event is based at Greensboro Distillery, 115 W Lewis St., Greensboro, NC 27401.
A post race speakeasy features live jazz music and drinks made with Fainting Goat Spirits or beers from SouthEnd Brewing. The event includes themed awards and a custom Trivium finishers medal that is part of the Trivium Mega Medal Series. Registration options offer items such as a short sleeved race t shirt, drink tickets for cocktails or beer, and the opportunity to receive the event medal.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three in multiple age groups ranging from 19 and under through 70 plus. Parking information notes free parking in the lot at the southwest corner of S. Elm and Gate City Blvd, limited paid parking on Lewis Street with entrance via Barnhardt St., and additional street and deck parking downtown. Participants are asked not to park in areas on Lewis Street that are marked with no parking signs because that section is part of the course.
The event policy states no refunds within 30 days of the event; requests made earlier than 30 days may be eligible for a 50 percent refund excluding processing fees. Entries cannot be deferred to another event or year, and transfers to another individual are allowed for a five dollar fee with shirt sizes not changeable.
