Event Overview
The Green Lake Area 13dot1 takes place in Green Lake, Wisconsin, during Labor Day weekend. The event features multiple course distances that start and finish at the Town Square Community Center Terrace. Participants run through the City of Green Lake, passing local shops, amenities, and residential areas.
The race routes provide views of Big Green Lake and include segments along the water. Available distances for participants include:
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
- 10K Run/Walk (6.2 Miles)
- 5K Run/Walk (3.1 Miles)
Course Details
The 13.1 mile route travels west from the community center along wooded lanes and the shoreline of Green Lake. It includes a section through the Green Lake Conference Center, offering views of the lake and local homes.
The 10K and 5K courses also begin at the Town Square Community Center Terrace. These routes pass through downtown Green Lake, Hattie Sherwood Park, and the historic Norton’s Restaurant. The 10K route extends further into the Green Lake countryside before returning via a footpath. The 5K route turns back after passing the restaurant to return to the finish line downtown.
Participation Information
Registration is available online until the morning of the event. Packet pick-up is located at The Club Room in Town Square on the Friday afternoon before the race and on the morning of the event. An awards ceremony and music are held at the Town Square Community Center Terrace following the races. The event maintains a no-refund policy in the case of cancellation or for any other reason.
