Green Lake 5K run and walk
The event takes place Saturday, August 7, 2027, at 4475 Kalamazoo Avenue, Caledonia, MI 49316. It includes a 5K run and walk plus a Kids' 1 Mile Fun Run. Proceeds benefit the Leighton Township Fire Department and the community playground behind Green Lake Calvary Church.

The Kids' Fun Run is not timed, is approximately 1 kilometer, and all children receive a goody bag that includes a medal. Parents or family may run alongside their child without registering. Awards for the 5K are given by age group: 0-11, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
Registration opens 8/2/2026. Fees listed by event are $10.00 for the kids run and $25.00 for the 5K. Registration deadlines vary by event; register before Wednesday, July 28 to be guaranteed a shirt. Early packet pickup and in-person registration are available at the Leighton Township Fire Department on Friday, 8/6, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Race-day packet pickup and in-person registration start at 7 AM, and race-day registration closes at 7:55 AM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
