About the race
Girls on the Run Mid State PA presents a season-closing 5K celebration that gives program participants a tangible sense of accomplishment. The event is scheduled for Sunday, November 15, 2026, at York College : Grumbacher Sport & Fitness Center (West Campus), 899 S Richland Ave, York, PA. The course distance is 3.1 miles and the event is not chip timed. Every registered participant who completes the 5K receives a commemorative medal.
Online registration is open from September 18 to November 5; standard online registration is priced at $30 and day-of registration increases to $35. Program participants are pre-registered and do not need to register again. There is an option to order a Spirit on the Course sign by October 31 for $20. Merchandise will be available for purchase at the event.
The event includes a Friends & Family Zone and free parking, with designated accessible parking for vehicles displaying an accessible placard. The council provides safety measures such as required race bibs, assigned running buddies, course monitoring and head counts, and a safety plan for staff and volunteers. Volunteers support setup, registration, course guidance, water stations, cheer stations and other activity stations; volunteers appointed through the council undergo a background check.
