The Great Trek takes place at the University of British Columbia, Herbarium and Main Mall in Vancouver, BC, on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The event offers multiple race options including a Hat Trick combo.
Main distances offered:
- 21.1 km Half Marathon
- 10 km race
- 5 km race
- 36.1 km Hat Trick combo
Race entry includes a race bib with timing chip, drinks and post race food, gear check and pacers provided by RUNVAN, and race results with a leaderboard. Registrants receive a CA$25 discount at Forerunners with a minimum CA$75 purchase. There is a limited shirt or glove option; participants can choose a GREEN BIB to skip the race giveaway and reduce fees slightly. Medals are available for all finishers of the 21.1 km, 10 km, and 5 km races, including those with a green bib.
Package pickup is held during race week at Forerunners Main St over four days; there is no package pickup on race day. The event supports the BC Children's Hospital Foundation and has raised CA$9,498.93. Entries are non refundable and non transferable under RUNVAN race policies. A Grand Slam prize is available for participants who complete all four RUNVAN events in the same calendar year, listed as 2027 First Half, BMO Vancouver Marathon, Granville Island Turkey Trot and Great Trek.
