The Great Trek takes place at the University of British Columbia, Herbarium, Main Mall in Vancouver, British Columbia on October 24, 2026. The event offers multiple race formats, including a Hat Trick distance.
Distances offered are:
- 21.1KM Half Marathon
- 10KM
- 5KM
- 36.1KM Hat Trick
Race entry includes a race bib with timing chip, drinks and post-race food, gear check and pacers provided by RUNVAN. Race results and an online leaderboard are provided. Medals are available for finishers of the 21.1KM, 10KM and 5KM events, including those who select the "green bib" option.
A shirt or glove option is available in limited quantity; the "green bib" option skips the giveaway and reduces entry fees slightly. Package pickup is held race week only at Forerunners Main St over four days: Tuesday 12:00-18:30, then Wednesday through Friday 10:00-18:30. There is no race day package pickup.
The event supports BC Children's Hospital Foundation and has raised CA$5,825.14. Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferrable under RUNVAN race policies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
