Great Trek : event description
The Great Trek is the final race in the RUNVAN series, scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026. The event takes place through Musqueam territory and offers several road race options:
- Half Marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
- RUNVAN Hat-trick equivalent to 36.1 km
Entry numbers are capped for each distance and some events have already reached capacity. Capacity limits are set in collaboration with multiple stakeholders and there is no waitlist.
Included with entry are a measured and marked course, a race bib with timing chip, a race medal and a bonus medal for completing the Hat-trick. On-course water and aid stations are provided, and post-race offerings include drinks plus a choice of sushi or chili. Other amenities and options mentioned include a New Event Giveaway or a go green choice, a $25 Forerunners discount on qualifying purchases, and options to donate or fundraise for charity. Race results and a leaderboard are provided.
