The 67th Great River Road Run - Alton, IL
The event takes place on November 28, 2026 at the Alton Visitor Center, 200 Piasa St., Alton, IL 62002. It is organized by the Alton Road Runners Club and includes both a 10 mile and a 5K distance on the Great River Road.
The course is described as flat and follows an out and back route with the Mississippi River on one side and bluffs on the other. Packet pickup is at Mac'c Downtown, 315 Belle St., Alton, IL 62002. Race day registration is accepted and payment may be made with cash, check, or credit and debit cards. There are parking lots available in downtown Alton.
Entry categories and listed fees include a 10 mile individual open category for USD 40, a 5K category for age 15 and over for USD 30, and a 5K category for age 14 and under for USD 20.
