AJ Bell Great Birmingham Run
The AJ Bell Great Birmingham Run takes place on 3 May 2026 in Birmingham. The event offers two race distances:
- Half marathon
- 10k
Entries are open with a booking fee of £3.00 per entry. Listed entry prices show saver and final bands: 10k saver £33, final £38; Half marathon saver £43, final £48. Age limits on race day are 15+ for the 10k and 17+ for the half marathon.
Event details and services
Route maps are provided for both the 10k and half marathon; previous event information shows starts at Centenary Square (Broad Street) and finishes at Smithfield. A rolling programme of road closures will operate on event day, with roads due to be reopened by 5pm. Waves are used for the race and runners may move to a slower wave if required; moving to a faster wave is not permitted.
Race numbers containing timing chips are normally posted 1-2 weeks before the event; late or overseas entries must collect their number from the information point. Baggage buses are available near the start and bags are collected near the finish using the race number. The event offers an event-day tracking app, official race photos for purchase, optional finisher tees (with an associated donation option), and a finisher medal.
