AJ Bell Great Birmingham Run : 3 May 2026
The AJ Bell Great Birmingham Run is a city-centre road running event taking place on 3 May 2026. It offers two measured road race distances and draws thousands of participants, many of whom run for charity. The course runs through Birmingham streets and includes a mix of inclines and declines; both routes feature more downhill running in the second half (miles 8–13 for the half marathon and kilometres 5–8 for the 10k). Entries are open to runners aged 15+ for the 10k and 17+ for the half marathon on race day. Published entry prices for 2026 show standard and late entry rates, and a booking fee of £3.00 per entry is applied at checkout. Previous editions have reached capacity.
Race services and event features include baggage buses located close to the start, a personalised race number with timing chip, official event day photos, event-day tracking and results via a free app, and finisher medals. An optional finisher t-shirt is available; choosing not to receive a tee triggers a donation toward the National Trust Woodlands Appeal.
