Grayson Highlands
This event takes place May 2-3, 2026 at Grayson Highlands State Park, VA. It is a set of trail races that run through mountain terrain where wild ponies can be seen. Course materials include maps, aid station breakdowns, cutoff times, and a runners handbook.
Races are held over four distances with published climbing and cutoff details.
- 50 mile: 7,500 ft of climbing; 17 hour cutoff.
- 50k: 4,500 ft of climbing; 11 hour cutoff.
- 25k: 3,000 ft of climbing; 7 hour cutoff.
- 8 mile: 1,400 ft of climbing; 4 hour cutoff.
Volunteers are offered free race entries as a thank you. Driving directions and crew rules are provided for crew and support personnel.
