Event details
The races take place May 2-3, 2026, at Grayson Highlands State Park in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia. Four distances are offered and course distances are described as approximate. Registration closes Fri, May 1 at 11:59 PM ET. Packet pickup is available Friday evening with additional pre-race pickup on race morning. The event benefits the state park, a local rescue squad, and a friends group.

Distances and published climbing and cutoff details:
- 50 Mile - 9,500 ft of climbing; 16 hour cutoff.
- 50K - 5,000 ft of climbing; 10.5 hour cutoff.
- 25K - 3,000 ft of climbing; 6 hour cutoff.
- 8 Mile - 1,200 ft of climbing; 4 hour cutoff.
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each race. All finishers receive a beanie or hat and a finisher medal, plus post-race food and free professional race photos. The organiser states there are no refunds, bib transfers, or deferments within 90 days of the event; earlier changes may receive partial credit toward another race.
