Graveyard Gallop 5K
The Graveyard Gallop 5K is a charity road race held on October 17, 2026, hosted by SOHO Running Club at the Grissettown Volunteer Fire Department, District 31, located at 758 Longwood Rd NW, Ocean Isle Beach, NC 28469. Proceeds go directly to the District 31 Volunteer Fire Department.
The event is a 5K road course with one water stop. Costumed volunteers will be positioned along the course and at the water stop. Runners and walkers are welcome. No strollers or pets are allowed on the course. A course map will be posted prior to the race.
Registration opens January 27, 2026. Early registration is $40 until September 14; late registration is $45 from September 15 through October 16; day-of registration is $47. T-shirts are guaranteed for those who register on or before September 14; adult sizes available are XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL. Packet pickup will take place on Saturday near the start line from 2:30 to 3:30 PM. The fire department will offer concessions; participants with race bibs receive a $5.00 discount for entry to the event haunted trail. Ample parking is available; participants should use designated parking areas. Awards are based on gun time for overall and masters, with age-group medals awarded 1-3.
