Event overview
Lauf Gravel Worlds Run Series takes place in Lincoln, Nebraska on Saturday, August 22, 2026 and Sunday, August 23, 2026. The run series offers multiple distances with stated elevation gain:
- 50k (~31–32 miles) - 2,000 ft
- 25k (~16 miles) - 1,000 ft
- 10k (~6 miles) - 400 ft
- 5k (~3 miles) - 100–150 ft
The courses are almost entirely on gravel and dirt roads and include frequent rolling hills. The 25k route covers about 1,100 ft of elevation over roughly 16 miles, with many sustained grades averaging 4-5% either up or down.
Support, navigation, and race formats
The events are self-supported: outside support from team vehicles or family on course is not allowed. Water and basic nutrition are provided at aid stations; runners should carry any specific nutrition needs. Aid stations are placed roughly every 8-10k on the first half and every 5-7k on the second half, with a fully stocked checkpoint just after halfway. Courses will be marked, and GPS files and downloadable cue cards will be provided via RideWithGPS and Garmin Connect.
There is a two-day double championship format with full and half options. The double offers a relay division (two-person teams: one running, one biking) and a solo division (one person completing both events); podiums, a champions jersey, and trophies are awarded. Time cut-offs are specified as durations for each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
