Candy Cane Course - Lincoln
The Candy Cane Course is an annual Christmas-themed running event held at Holmes Lake Park in Lincoln, NE on 12/13/2026. The program includes several on-site race options plus a virtual race option that allows participants to run remotely.
Distance options include:
- 50 m Kids Dash for ages 10 and under
- 1 mile untimed fun run
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- 15K
- Virtual Race run anywhere
- Volunteer then Run volunteer shift then run any distance
Registration for the distance races includes event swag such as a custom bib, a designer shirt, and a finisher medal. The 1 mile is untimed and also includes a custom bib, designer shirt, and a finisher medal. The Kids Dash registration includes a mini bib, a youth-sized shirt, and a specific kids dash medal; children may run the Kids Dash without swag at no cost on race day according to the event notes.
Chip-timing with live results and awards is provided for the distance races. Free event photos and treats at the finish line are listed among the event services. A $10 parking fee is required to enter Holmes Lake Park unless an RSU Annual Pass is held. Volunteers who register to help are asked to arrive 30 minutes before packet pickup time to assist and then may run a distance afterward.
