The event program includes multiple distances and a Kids' Grand Prix option. Participants are allowed to run with dogs, and many wear festive holiday gear. The event features a photo submission activity using the hashtag #RunForBowWowsAndMeows on social media; three submissions will be selected for a prize. Packet pickup is scheduled for December 5 at Lincoln Running Company, 1213 Q Street, Lincoln, NE 68508; donations for the Capital Humane Society may be dropped off at packet pickup. Kids' Grand Prix runners will receive a gift at packet pickup.
Registration involves early and late pricing tiers. Example fees listed for 2026 include early and late rates for the 5K, 1 Mile, and Kids' Grand Prix 1 Mile categories. The event lists Pioneers Park as the race location and Lincoln Track Club as the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
