Grasmere Wild Trail Runs 2026
Grasmere Wild Trail Runs is a two‑day Lake District event with trail runs on Saturday and duathlons on Sunday. The organising location is The Showfield, Stock Lane, Grasmere, Cumbria LA22 9SL. The event offers two measured trail distances and route maps are available to view and download.
- 10 km - takes in Grasmere Village, Grasmere Water, Rydal Water, passes Rydal Caves.
- 5 km - scenic lap of Grasmere Water.
The 10 km route is reported by many participants as a notable scenic route in the UK. Routes pass local landmarks and include village and lakeside sections. The event is canicross friendly; one controlled dog per runner is permitted.
Timing is provided by Live Chip Timing from Timing Up North. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a drink and snack. An event T‑shirt is available to purchase for £12.
On‑site parking is limited and available for £4; organisers note that public parking nearby may be needed if the ground is wet or the car park is full.
