Grasmere Wild Trail Runs 2026

The event takes place on 28 March 2026 at The Showfield, Stock Lane, Grasmere, Cumbria (LA22 9SL). Trail runs are scheduled on the first day, with Sprint and Standard Duathlons held on the following day. Live chip timing will be used. The event is canicross friendly; one controlled dog per runner is allowed. Limited on-site parking is available for £4, with additional public parking possible if the car park is full or ground conditions are poor. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a drink and snack. An event T-shirt is available to purchase for £12.

  • 10 km - route through Grasmere Village, Grasmere Water, Rydal Water, passes Rydal Caves
  • 5 km - scenic lap of Grasmere Water

Routes are available to view and download free of charge. Entry fees listed are: 10 km £28 plus fee, 5 km £24 plus fee. Remaining places at the time of listing were 868 for the 10 km and 481 for the 5 km. Registration opens 31 March 2025 and closes 24 March 2026. Timing services are provided by Timing Up North.
