Grasmere Wild Trail Runs 2026

This event is the Lake District trail runs in Grasmere on 28 March 2026, presented as part of a two-day weekend of activity with trail runs on Saturday and duathlons on Sunday. The location is The Showfield, Stock Lane, Grasmere, Cumbria, LA22 9SL. Route maps are available to view and download.

The event offers two measured routes and includes live chip timing provided by Timing Up North. The routes:

  • 10 km takes in parts of Grasmere Village, Grasmere Water and Rydal Water, and passes Rydal Caves.
  • 5 km follows a scenic lap of Grasmere Water.

The event is canicross friendly with one controlled dog per runner. Entry fees are listed at £25 for the 5 km and £28 for the 10 km; an exclusive event T-shirt is available to purchase for £12. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a drink and snack. Limited on-site parking is available for £4; organisers note some competitors may need to use public parking if the ground is wet or the car park is full. Age minimums apply for the distances.
