Granville Ambulance Chase

The Granville Ambulance Chase takes place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, in Historic Downtown Oxford, North Carolina, with the event base at 100 Main Street. The start line is on Main Street in front of the Courthouse and the finish is on Little John Street. Main Street, Spring Street, High Street, and Littlejohn Street will have closures on Saturday morning for participant safety.

A Food Truck Rodeo accompanies the event. Proceeds benefit the Granville Health System Foundation. Course maps and timing information are provided by the organizer and the event is officially timed by Run The East, LLC.

Registration and packet pickup are offered before and on race weekend. Early packet pickup is scheduled at Tobacco Wood Brewing Co., 117 Wall Street, Oxford. Race day registration and packet pickup take place at The Hub on Main, 100 Main Street; race day payments are not accepted in cash and day-of registrations use online credit card payment.

Awards and participant items include T-shirts for the first 350 registered in the main events, trophies for the top male and female overall in the 5K and 10K, and medals for the first 300 finishers in those races.

Race rules note that skates, bicycles, roller blades and skateboards are not allowed on course without prior approval. Baby joggers, running strollers and participants in wheelchairs are welcome, with baby joggers and strollers asked to start at the back. Pets are not allowed on the race course but are allowed on a leash at the Food Truck Rodeo.

Discounts are available for community groups of at least 10 people, students ages 5 to 18 in specified events, and military personnel. Volunteer opportunities are available through the event organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
