Brookfield Zoo Chicago Reindeer Run
The Brookfield Zoo Chicago Reindeer Run is a fun run held at Brookfield Zoo Chicago, 8400 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513. The event follows a roughly 2 mile route entirely within the zoo and features festive lights along the course. The run is untimed and open to participants of all ages; people may run, walk, or stroll the route.
Advance registration is required. Registration opens June 9, 2026 and closes October 1, 2026. The registration fee is $40.00. Registered participants receive commemorative race swag, including a commemorative hat. Swag pickup and check-in take place inside the zoo after parking; early pickup before race day is not available.
Event entry and parking use the North Gate Entrance and the North Gate Parking Lot; parking at the South Gate Entrance is not allowed. Check-in occurs at the North Gate Entrance, and race activities assemble near the Pavilions. Spectators may use North Mall areas, including the Start/Finish lines, Pavilions, and Carousel Plaza. The zoo is not open for general walking outside the designated running paths.
For animal safety, participants and spectators are asked not to bring lasers, kazoos, or loud bells. Strollers are permitted and children riding in strollers are free. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
