About the race
The Brookfield Zoo Chicago Reindeer Run is a non-competitive fun run held at Brookfield Zoo Chicago, 8400 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513, US. The event uses a festive route entirely within the zoo and does not include official timing.
The event offers a 2 Miles run open to all ages. Strollers are permitted and children riding in strollers are free. All registered participants receive a commemorative hat.
Participants should enter and check in at the North Gate Entrance and park in the North Gate Parking Lot; parking at the South Gate Entrance is not allowed. After parking, check-in and commemorative race swag pickup take place inside the zoo; early swag pickup before the event is not available.
Spectators may watch from North Mall areas, including the Start/Finish Lines, Pavilions, and Carousel Plaza. The zoo remains closed to general walking outside the designated running paths. To protect animals, participants and spectators are asked to avoid bringing lasers, kazoos, and loud bells. Festive lights are visible along the Reindeer Run route, while a broader Holiday Magic experience is offered on separate scheduled nights.
