Wildflower Run

The Wildflower Run takes place over two days at Grand Targhee, featuring trail races on world-famous trails and high-elevation ridgelines. The event includes four distinct distances:

  • 1K Kids' Race - A loop in the base area for ages 6 to 12.
  • 10K - A 6.3-mile course with 577 feet of vertical gain.
  • 22K - A 13.4-mile course with 1,579 feet of vertical gain.
  • 50K - A 31.1-mile course with 4,400 feet of vertical gain.

The courses traverse Peaked Mountain, offering views of the Tetons, fields of wildflowers, and aspen glades. The 50K race takes place on the first day of the event, while the other distances follow on the second day.

This is a cup-less event, meaning participants must bring their own receptacle for liquids. While the organizers provide a reusable cup to each runner, no disposable cups are used at the aid stations. Aid stations are stocked with water, electrolyte products, and snacks. For the 50K distance, a bag drop service is available for the Peaked Summit station.

Registration is capped at 200 participants per race, and there is no registration available on the day of the event. All finishers receive a unique award and a specialized hat. Categories include U15, Amateur, Expert, Master, and Pro divisions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
