Grand Targhee Wildflower Run
The Grand Targhee Wildflower Run takes place over two days in Alta, Wyoming. Now in its fourth year, the event features trail races across the high-elevation terrain of the Grand Targhee resort area. Participants move through a landscape characterized by aspen glades and fields of wildflowers.
The event offers several distances across the weekend:
- 50K (31 miles)
- 22K (13.5 miles)
- 10K (6 miles)
- 1K Kids' Race (for ages 6-12)
The 50K race is held on the first day of the event. The course utilizes high-elevation ridgelines and established mountain trails. Runners reaching the top of the Dreamcatcher lift after the designated cutoff time of 11:00 AM will not be permitted to continue.
The 10K and 22K races take place on the second day. These courses lead participants up Peaked Mountain, offering views of the Teton Range. The routes wind through meadows and forest sections. On the same day, the 1K Kids' Race is held for children aged 6 to 12. This shorter course consists of a loop around the base area of the resort.
Packet pickup and check-in for all distances are located at Wild Bills. Registration for the adult distances remains open from January until the beginning of March, while registration for the youth race remains open until the morning of the event.
