Grand Targhee Wildflower Run
The Grand Targhee Wildflower Run is a two day trail running event held July 4 and 5, 2026 at Grand Targhee Resort in Alta, Wyoming. The event offers four race distances and separate categories with awards and finishers items.
Distances offered:
- 50K - 31.1 miles, 4,400 feet vertical gain
- 22K - 13.4 miles, 1,579 feet vertical gain
- 10K - 6.3 miles, 577 feet vertical gain
- 1K Kids' Race - 0.62 miles, 75 feet vertical gain, ages 6 to 12 only
Course descriptions note high elevation ridgelines and mountain trails for the 50K, and routes up Peaked Mountain through wildflower fields and aspen glades for the 10K and 22K. The kids course loops the base area. Aid stations are located on each course and the 50K includes multiple stations with options for full or water only stops; one 50K aid station accepts drop bags.
Logistics and race policies include a 200 person cap per race, no day of registration, a cupless race policy with a provided reusable SpeedCup, clearly marked courses, and no crew access. Restrooms are available at the base and at one point on the 50K course. All finishers receive a unique award, and cash prizes are listed for top overall 50K finishers.
