Event details
Grand Slamrock takes place Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Fredericksburg, VA at 42 Jackie Robinson Way. The event includes three distance options:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
- 1/2 Mile
Packet pickup is available the two days before the race at local retail locations and on race morning inside the stadium. All races finish on the field inside the stadium. The course for the 5K is USATF certified and described as flat. Dogs are not allowed. The 5K is stroller-friendly.
Registration, extras and awards
Registration fees listed in the event information are $35 for the 5K and $20 for each of the two shorter events, with prices increasing after January 7, 2026. A photo ID is required to receive a beer bracelet for post-race beer. A complimentary wine tasting for participants ages 21 and over is available March 13-15 with presentation of a race bib.
Top finishers receive event-specific awards. The top male and female in the 5K and the 1 Mile earn the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at a FredNats baseball game, with game tickets included. The 5K overall awards include cash prizes for the top three men and women and masters awards. Age-group awards and gift certificates are also listed for the events.
