Grand Slamrock : event details
The Grand Slamrock takes place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Fredericksburg, VA (42 Jackie Robinson Way, 22401). The event includes these races:
- 5K (Grand Slamrock 5K)
- 1 Mile (Strike It Lucky 1 Mile)
- 1/2 Mile (Leprechaun Chase 1/2 Mile)
The Grand Slamrock 5K is open to ages 6 and older. The Strike It Lucky 1 Mile is open to ages 4 to 12. The Leprechaun Chase 1/2 Mile is open to ages 1 to 6. Entry fees listed are $35 for the 5K and $20 for each of the shorter races, with a stated price increase after January 7, 2026. All races finish inside the stadium on the field. The 5K course is described as USATF certified and flat. The 5K is stroller-friendly; dogs are not allowed.
Facilities, awards, and extras
Packet pickup is available on the days before the race at local partner locations and on race morning inside the stadium. Parking and restrooms are available at Virginia Credit Union Stadium. Finishers receive custom medals and a race t-shirt. Awards include custom Grand Slamrock mini baseball bats for many winners, age-group gift certificates, and cash prizes for top overall finishers. The top male and female in the 5K and the 1 Mile earn an opportunity to throw out a first pitch at a FredNats game; game tickets are included. A 50/50 raffle will benefit the FredNats Booster Club. Post-race offerings include a beer provided by Matern Staffing, a Pure Barre pop-up class on the field (ages 16+), and a complimentary wine tasting at The Estate at White Hall Vineyard for ages 21+ on March 15-17 with a race bib.
