Grand Slamrock
Grand Slamrock is a spring running event held on March 13, 2027, at 42 Jackie Robinson Way in Fredericksburg, VA. The event centers on the Grand Slamrock 5K and includes shorter races for youth and fun runners. Runners and walkers may participate; the 5K is stroller-friendly and dogs are not allowed.
The course is USATF certified and described as fast and flat, with the finish located on the field inside the stadium. Finishers are announced over stadium loudspeakers and can be seen on the stadium big screen. Participants receive custom finisher medals and a race t-shirt; the t-shirt guarantee deadline is February 27, 2027. The event offers on-site parking and amenities and provides post-race beer courtesy of Matern Staffing.
Competitive incentives include the top male and female finishers in the Grand Slamrock 5K and the Strike It Lucky Mile earning the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at a FredNats baseball game later this season; game tickets are included. A 50/50 raffle will be held, with proceeds benefiting the FredNats Booster Club.
Registration opens July 13, 2026 and closes July 21, 2026. Registration fees listed by event are $35.00 for the 5K, $20.00 for the 1 Mile, and $18.00 for the 880 yards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
