Event overview
The Fredericksburg Blue and Gray Half Marathon takes place on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in Fredericksburg, VA. The event is a Half Marathon with online registration only. The listed entry price is $75 and the price increases after December 1, 2025. Fredericksburg Area Running Club members receive a $5 discount. There is a 3.5 hour time limit to complete the half marathon. Dogs and strollers are not permitted.
Course and logistics
The USATF certified course starts and ends at Old Mill Park, 2201 Caroline Street, along the banks of the Rappahannock River. The route is mostly on a wide paved path through residential downtown Fredericksburg and is mostly flat except for an uphill section beginning at mile 5 and a downhill section at mile 9. Porta potties are available at miles 2.5, 3.0, 7.5, 10.5, and 11.8. Aid stations are located at miles 2.5, 4.0, 6.4, 8.8, 10.5, and 11.8 and will offer cups of water and/or Gatorade. Packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, December 6 at Fleet Feet Fredericksburg.
Awards and policies
Overall and age-group prizes include cash awards for top finishers and medals for finishers. Overall and masters awards are based on gun time; age group awards are based on chip time. Course record bonuses are offered for performances that meet the listed course record thresholds. The race does not offer refunds or deferrals; participants unable to attend in person may request their race packet be mailed if requested by November 27, 2025.
