Event overview
The Fredericksburg Blue and Gray Half Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, December 7, 2025, in Fredericksburg, VA. This is the 25th running of the race and the 12th and final event in the 2025 FARC Coldwell Banker Elite Grand Prix Race Series. Registration is online only. Fredericksburg Area Running Club members receive a $5 registration discount. Dogs and strollers are not permitted. There is a 3 1/2 hour time limit to complete the half marathon. Packet pick up is set for Saturday, December 6 at Fleet Feet Fredericksburg.
Course and aid stations
The course is USATF certified and starts and ends at Old Mill Park along the Rappahannock River at 2201 Caroline Street, Fredericksburg. The route runs mainly on a wide paved path through residential areas of downtown Fredericksburg. The course is mostly flat with an uphill section beginning at mile 5 and a downhill section at mile 9.
Porta potties are located at miles 2.5, 3.0, 7.5, 10.5 and 11.8. Aid stations are at miles 2.5, 4.0, 6.4, 8.8, 10.5 and 11.8 and will provide cups of water and/or Gatorade. The event is directed by an RRCA Certified Race Director.
Awards and policies
Overall top three men and women cash prizes are $150, $75 and $50. Masters top male and female receive $50. Age group awards are offered for standard ranges through 60-69 with top 3 in each group and 70+ top 1. Course record bonuses of $100 apply for the first male under 1:10:44 and the first female under 1:22:35. Overall and Masters awards use gun time; age group awards use chip time. The race does not offer refunds or deferrals. Runners may request a move to the virtual half marathon and have their packet shipped. There are no bib transfers.
