Fredericksburg Blue and Gray Half Marathon
The Fredericksburg Blue and Gray Half Marathon takes place on Sunday, December 6, 2026, in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The course starts and ends at Old Mill Park, 2201 Caroline Street, and runs along the banks of the Rappahannock River and through the historic downtown area.
The course is USATF certified and is mostly run on a wide paved path through residential sections. It is largely flat with a notable uphill section beginning at mile 5 and a downhill section near mile 9. Porta potties are provided at miles 2.5, 3.0, 7.5, 10.5, and 11.8. Aid stations are located at miles 2.5, 4.4, 6.4, 8.8, 10.5, and 11.8 and will offer cups of water and/or Gatorade.
Registration is online only. Dogs and strollers are not permitted. There is a 3.5 hour time limit to complete the half marathon. Packet pickup is scheduled at DICK'S Sporting Goods, Spotsylvania Mall Drive, on Thursday, December 3 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, December 5 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.
All participants receive a finisher's medal and those who register by November 20, 2026 receive a long sleeve technical race shirt. The race is the 26th running and is the final race in the 2026 FARC Coldwell Banker Elite Grand Prix Race Series. Entry fee for the half marathon is listed at $70. The event offers cash prizes for top overall and masters finishers, age group awards, and course record bonuses.
