Fredericksburg Blue and Gray Half Marathon
The Fredericksburg Blue and Gray Half Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, December 6, 2026, in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This is the 26th running of the event. The course is USATF certified and begins and ends at Old Mill Park along the banks of the Rappahannock River.
The route runs mostly on a wide paved path through residential areas of downtown Fredericksburg. The course is mostly flat, with one longer uphill section beginning at mile 5 and a downhill section around mile 9. Porta potties are positioned at miles 2.5, 3.0, 7.5, 10.5 and 11.8. Aid stations are located at miles 2.5, 4.4, 6.4, 8.8, 10.5 and 11.8 and will offer cups of water and/or Gatorade.
General race policies note a 3.5 hour time limit to complete the half marathon. Dogs and strollers are not permitted. Registration is online only and bib transfers are not allowed. Packet pickup is provided the weekend before the race at DICK'S Sporting Goods on Spotsylvania Mall Drive. Participants registering by November 20, 2026 will receive a long-sleeve technical race shirt; all participants receive a finisher medal.
Awards include cash prizes for overall and masters top finishers, age-group awards, and course record bonuses. Overall and masters awards are based on gun time while age-group awards use chip time.
