Grand Circle Trailfest
Grand Circle Trailfest is a three day trail running festival held Sept 30 - Oct 4, 2026 that moves between Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, and Antelope Canyon on Navajo Nation land. Festival headquarters and basecamp are at Jacob Hamblin Park in Kanab, Utah. The event combines three scenic timed trail races with on site camping, daily meals, and programmed activities.
Distances included:
- 15.7 miles : Bryce Canyon trail through hoodoos and Red Canyon connectors
- 10.4 miles : Zion rim running with panoramic canyon views
- 13.2 miles (optional +1 mile) : Antelope Canyon slot canyon route
Event services and facilities include a single race bib with a timing chip used for all three races, at least one aid station roughly halfway on each course stocking water, electrolyte drink, gels, fruit, and salty and sweet items, live event photography, and online results. Basecamp offers tent and vehicle camping options, on site showers and toilets, a pavilion with meal service, and limited RV and van parking for a fee. Sleeping pad rental is available for a nightly fee.
Festival programming runs each afternoon and evening and typically features yoga, speaker talks, live music, cultural performances, film screenings, and gear demos. The event follows a cup free and zero waste approach, asking participants to bring reusable bottles, cups, or hydration packs. Daily breakfast grab and go and a catered dinner buffet are provided; vegetarian options are listed and some gluten free and dairy free breakfast items are available.
