UTAH 115 - Kanab, Utah (May 14–16, 2027)
UTAH 115 is an organized ultramarathon event in Kanab, Utah offering three out-and-back race distances:
- 115 miles
- 50 miles
- 50 km
The event is USATF sanctioned. Cutoff times are 50 hours for the 115-mile race, 20 hours for the 50-mile race, and 13 hours for the 50 km. The courses start and finish in Kanab at an elevation of 4,970 feet (1,515 meters) and traverse high desert terrain including hard-packed and soft sand, sand dunes, red rock climbs, rocky and double-track roads, trails and canyons. The 115-mile course crosses the Coral Pink Sand Dunes. Wildlife and desert flora may be encountered along the route.
Aid stations provide water, electrolyte drinks, soda, hot drinks at night, daytime food, night meals, and morning breakfast items when available. Some aid stations offer shared sleeping tent space with pads and blankets; sleeping is limited to three hours at these stations. Course marking intervals vary by terrain and reflective markers and lights are used at night; participants must carry a light sufficient to find unlit markers.
Entry fees vary by distance and registration date. Early registration discounts and a waitlist are offered. Drop bag rules include a single labeled bag per aid station, maximum dimensions 12 x 20 x 12 inches; organizers are not responsible for loss or damage. The event includes on-site campsite and tent rental options and RV parking for a fee. A structured refund schedule applies depending on cancellation date.
