Grace's Place Rock the Block Race : Washington Fairgrounds
Grace's Place Rock the Block Race is a fundraising running event held at Washington Fairgrounds in Washington, MO. The event offers multiple entry formats: a solo race, a 2 person relay, a 3 to 4 person relay, and a flexible "Whatever K" run/walk. Solo participants are asked to complete 24 laps of a 0.7 mile loop. Relay teams take turns on the same loop; team members do not run simultaneously but exchange the team number after each lap.
Race services include a marked start and finish area, chipped bibs with instant results, a timing system supported by additional manual timing, and finish line photos. On-course support and amenities include a hydration station, a snack shack, and two indoor restrooms. The route passes through the fairgrounds and offers space for popup tents, chairs, cheering areas, and coolers; participants are expected to clean up after themselves.
Registration fees vary by entry type. Prize baskets will be awarded to the top three solo runners or teams that raise the most in pledges. Medals are provided to top finishers in each category, and event shirts and other swag were guaranteed for early registrants by specified deadlines. Packet pickup is arranged onsite before race day.
