Event Overview
The WILDWOOD Turkey Trot is a running event on Thanksgiving morning in Wildwood, Missouri. It features two main races: a 5k and a 10k. There is also a Free 1/4 mile Kids Dash for children 10 years old and under, called "Chase the Turkey."
Course Details
Both races start and finish at Racers Village located at the Wildwood Farmers Market in Grover. The course uses the paved Wildwood Greenway pedestrian pathway. It passes through Wildwood Park and crosses the Wildwood Sky Bridge. The 10k route involves taking an additional lap.
Participant Benefits
All registered participants for the 5k and 10k receive a finisher's medal, a "Trottinator" T-shirt, and a Rockinator Racing neck buff. Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in categories ranging from 1-13 to 70+. Other amenities include professional chip timing, aid stations at miles 2 and 4, race snacks, drinks, and post-race beer. Free downloadable race photos are provided after the event.
For the Kids Dash, participants receive a race number bib and a "Trottinator" metal finisher award.
Additional Information
The event supports The Rockwoods School District Cross Country program, with 100% of donations going towards the program. Packet pickup is available the day before the race at the Wildwood Pub and on race morning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
