Goose Fair Gallop 10k : Bennerley Viaduct Visitors Centre
The Goose Fair Gallop is an annual 10 km road and trail event organised by Kimberley & District Striders on Sunday 11 October 2026. The event is based at Bennerley Viaduct Visitors Centre, Awsworth NG16 2BF, with parking provided at Birnam Park NG16 2DE.
The course is planned to be as close to 10 km as possible but is not exact and therefore results will not appear on ranking sites such as Run Britain. Chip timing is used and the race is held as a mass start. Entries are limited to 350 participants, all must be over 18 on the day, and on-the-day entry is not available; a waiting list is maintained when the event is full.
Underfoot conditions vary along the route and include canal paths, gravel paths, unkept trails and smooth pavement. Marshals will be present on course. There are no road closures and no strict sweeper; participants are asked to be able to complete the course in under 1 hour 40 minutes.
Finishers receive a custom technical t-shirt and a medal; t-shirt sizes are fixed after registration. Entries are non-refundable and non-deferrable; transfers via the organiser's registration system are possible until 12 September 2026. A specific headphone policy requires bone conductor earphones so runners can hear marshals and other participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
