Event overview
The Goose Fair Gallop is a 10k road and trail race held on 12 October 2025 and organised by Kimberley & District Striders. The event runs under Race Permit Number ARC/25/0221 and uses a mass start. Entry is limited to 350 participants. Entries are non-refundable and non-deferrable; transfers are allowed via Entry Central up to 12 September 2025 and may incur an admin charge. All entrants must register an Entry Central account to provide England Athletics affiliation details and to enable transfers. Discounted and standard entry fees applied in advance; a service fee is charged on sign-up.
Course and logistics
The route follows roads, canal towpaths and mixed trails on and around the Erewash Valley Trail and the Erewash Canal. Key route features include the Bennerley Viaduct, sections alongside the A610, a run past Moorgreen Colts Football Club, a path under a railway bridge, and a crossing of the River Erewash. Surfaces vary from canal paths and gravel to unkempt trails and paved road. Race numbers include a timing chip on the rear and must have emergency details completed. Race numbers will be available for collection on 10 and 11 October. The race village and start/finish area are at Harworth Estates, Halls Lane, off the A610 (postcode NG16 2DE).
