Goose Fair Gallop 10k
The Goose Fair Gallop 10k is organised by Kimberley & District Striders and takes place on 11 October 2026 at Bennerley Viaduct Visitors Centre, off Shilo Way, Awsworth, NG16 2BF. Parking is provided at Birnam Park, accessible via the A610 (postcode NG16 2DE); there is no parking at the visitors centre. Entries are limited to 350 and it is not possible to enter on the day; a waiting list is in operation.
The event uses chip timing and carries Race Permit Number ARC/26/0371. The course is a roughly flat 10 km route planned to be as close to 10 km as possible; because the measurement is not exact, results will not appear on ranking sites such as Run Britain. Underfoot conditions vary between canal paths, gravel, unkept trails and smooth pavement. The route is marshalled by club volunteers.
Participants must be over 18 on the day and fit enough to complete the course; there are no road closures, so entrants are asked to be able to finish within about 1 hour 40 minutes. Entries are non-refundable and non-deferrable, though online transfers via Entry Central are permitted until 12 September 2026. Finishers receive a custom technical t-shirt and a medal.
