Leicestershire Half Marathon - 28 February 2027
The Leicestershire Half Marathon is a road-closed half marathon organized by RunThrough that takes place in the Leicestershire countryside, starting at Charnwood College in Loughborough. The route passes through Shepshed, Belton and Hathern on an undulating course and is described as rewarding steady pacing and strong legs.
The surface is mainly tarmac with some grass sections. Each kilometre is marked with distance flags and marshals provide direction and encouragement along the route. Chip-timed results are provided and race entries include a unique themed medal, free official race photos and post-race goodies.
An event village is provided at the finish with food and drink options and free items from event partners. Entry pricing increases in stages: Super Early Bird entry ends 15 March, Early Bird entry ends 30 August, Standard entry closes 24 January 2027, and Last Minute entry may be available until race day subject to availability. An event t-shirt is offered through partner RT Kit at a discounted rate when purchased at checkout.
