About the race
The Leicestershire half marathon takes place on Sunday 28th February 2027 in Loughborough. The event starts and finishes at Charnwood College, Thorpe Hill, Loughborough LE11 4SQ, and uses surrounding roads and country lanes that are closed to traffic for the race.
The course runs on traffic free local and rural roads, offering a route that passes through town and countryside sections around Loughborough. A GPX file for the course is provided for participants to download and review before the event.
Organisers note that, due to the nature of the route, the event is not suitable for buggy running or for wheelchair athletes. Road closures are in place on the course to provide a traffic free running environment.
Additional event information includes course maps and an elevation profile. The venue and course details are presented with practical access information for the start and finish at Charnwood College. The event page also links to result listings, photos, and partner information related to the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
