Overview
The Good Grief 5K Run & Walk is organized by Empty Arms Vermont and takes place in South Burlington, Vermont. The in-person event is held at Veterans Memorial Park on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Proceeds support Empty Arms Vermont, a nonprofit that provides resources and support for families who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, termination for medical reasons, or infant loss.
Events and details
- 5K Run & Walk: open to runners and walkers; course combines flat sections and hills and follows the South Burlington bike path. Strollers and leashed pets are welcomed. Water and small snacks for children will be available along the route. Price: $25 (youth discounts apply).
- 2K Walkers: walkers only; stroller and child-friendly. Price: $25 (youth discounts apply).
- Virtual 5K: complete a 5K run or walk remotely; participants may design their own course. Price: $20 (discounted youth rate).
Additional facts: children under 4 attend free without registration; youth pricing applies for ages 4–17. Registration price increases after March 28. Race T-shirts are available if registered before April 27. Free Ben & Jerry’s ice cream will be offered to registered participants after the event. The event includes awards in several categories, live music, and kid-friendly entertainment. Free parking is available at Veterans Memorial Park, with overflow at Faith United Methodist Church.
