Good Grief 5K Run & Walk
The Good Grief 5K Run & Walk is a community event at Veterans Memorial Park, 1000 Dorset St, South Burlington, VT, that centers on movement and mutual support for those grieving pregnancy and infant loss. The event offers in-person and virtual participation and supports Empty Arms Vermont.

The 5K course is a loop that follows the South Burlington bike path and includes a mix of flat sections and hills; it is stroller and pet friendly. The 2K is a shorter walkers-only route and is also stroller friendly. Virtual participants may complete a 5K on their own course. Registered participants receive a free scoop of Ben & Jerry's ice cream the day of the event; non-registered guests may purchase ice cream at the truck.
Additional event features include check-in and bib pick-up the morning of the event with free coffee from Kestrel Coffee while supplies last, a warm-up with Snap Fitness, live music, kid-friendly activities such as face painting and balloon animals, yard games, and food for purchase from Cha Cha Garna. Awards recognize categories including fastest overall, fastest female, fastest youth under 12, and highest fundraiser. Race T-shirts are available as a registration add-on until May 8.
