49th Annual Peru Lions Club Turkey Trot
The Peru Lions Club Turkey Trot is scheduled for November 26, 2026, at Peru Elementary School in Peru, New York. The event includes two road races and raises funds for the Peru Lions Club's local charitable work; proceeds and donations from this event support community projects.

- 5 km race
- 10 km race
Registration opens September 20, 2026 and closes on the day of the event; published registration fees are $25 for the 5 km and $30 for the 10 km. Bib pickup takes place on race morning. All race activities are held outdoors, with some weather protection provided by the bays of the school bus garage. All participants receive Turkey Trot swag while supplies last. Awards are presented to the top three men and top three women in each race.
Organizers note route adjustments to ensure accurate distances. The 10 km course was updated in a prior year to include a short out-and-back on Twin Creek Drive off Barney Downs Road.
The Peru Lions Club, chartered in 1945, describes a range of community services, including free eye screenings for young children and more than 18 service projects.
