Golden Driller Marathon
The Golden Driller Marathon is an annual running event held in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The races take place on the paved trails of the Tulsa Riverparks system, following the banks of the Arkansas River. The event is named after the Golden Driller statue, a well-known landmark located at EXPO Square.
Participants can choose from several race distances:
- Marathon (26.2 Miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)
- 10K
- 5K
The courses are primarily flat. The marathon course includes one hill, while all other distances are entirely flat. The marathon and half marathon courses are USATF certified, and the marathon serves as a Boston Marathon qualifier. Small field sizes characterize the event compared to larger urban races.
The start and finish area is located at River West Festival Park, situated within three miles of downtown Tulsa and various hotels. On-site parking is provided at the race location. Registered participants receive a technical shirt and a custom finisher medal depicting the Golden Driller. Following the race, the event provides food and beer for participants aged 21 and over.
