ASICS Gold Coast Marathon
The ASICS Gold Coast Marathon is a multi-race running event held on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. The event uses a flat, fast and scenic course that runs alongside the city’s surf beaches and the Broadwater. Organisers report that about 60% of participants achieve a personal best time each year and that the course can be used to attempt qualification for the Boston Marathon.
Races are staged across a weekend with mass participation and dedicated events for children and wheelchair athletes. The event includes finisher mementoes such as a commemorative medal, shirt, finishers gift and a certificate. An event app is available to support training and notifications.
Recent editions reported large participation and economic impact; the 2026 event recorded 43,000 registered participants and raised A$1,534,000 for charity. The event also publishes news items and race reports from each year. Entries for 2027 open early December and the weekend dates for 2027 are Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 July.
