Super Sprint Race Weekend
The Super Sprint Race Weekend is a three-day triathlon program held in December at the Gold Coast Performance Centre in Runaway Bay. The program includes aquathlon, mixed relays, super sprint races and finals, and features pool swimming, circuit cycling and track running.
The swim takes place in the GCPC Aquatic Centre 50 m pool. The bike leg uses the Luke Harrop Cycling Circuit, described as flat with a slight hill, technical and multi-lap. The run uses the GCPC athletic track, described as flat and multi-lap.
Age categories listed in the event materials include Rookies (12–13), Youth (14–15), Junior (16–19) and U23 (20–23); eligibility is determined as of 31 December 2026 in the published information. Youth and Junior entrants must hold a Draft Legal credential and a Standard or Premium AusTriathlon membership. The Draft Legal endorsement requires a home coach to witness completion of Level 1 skills per the AusTriathlon Cycling Aptitude Standards and for the assessment to be recorded in JustGo so the Draft Legal credential is activated.
Entry fees listed in the event information are Junior/U23 $199.00, Youth $169.00 and Rookie $69.00. Distances for finals vary by category and include pool swims, short circuit cycles and short track runs as noted in the event program.
