About the race
Super Sprint Race Weekend is the Australian Championship event held 17–20 December 2026 at the Gold Coast Performance Centre in Runaway Bay, Gold Coast QLD. The championship is staged across four days and features multiple race formats across three competition days: Aquathlon, LeMans, Super Sprint and Finals. The Thursday schedule includes check-in, an athlete briefing and an education session; Friday features LeMans and Aquathlon; Saturday is Super Sprint; Sunday is Finals.
The program is subject to change and a detailed athlete guide will provide the event schedule and times closer to the event. Competition uses the GCPC Aquatic Centre 50 m pool for the swim, the Luke Harrop Cycling Circuit for the bike course (described as flat with a slight hill, technical and multi-lap), and the GCPC athletic track for the run (flat and multi-lap). Age categories listed for eligibility as at 31/12/2027 include Rookies (12-13yrs), Youth (14-15yrs), Junior (16-19yrs) and U23 (20-23yrs); notes indicate Rookies and some categories are not Australian Championship eligible and Junior and U23 compete in the same race. Entry requires an active AusTriathlon annual membership with the Draft Legal credential where specified; the site describes the process to obtain Draft Legal endorsement via coach assessment and a register entry in JustGo. Entry fees listed are Rookie $69.00, Youth $169.00 and Junior U23 $199.00.
