Event Overview
The Going Bananas Run is a themed running event located in Duluth, Minnesota. Participants traverse a course through the city while wearing provided banana suits. The event is open to participants of all ages and follows a specific chase format involving a mascot.
Two minutes after the start of the race, a participant dressed as a gorilla begins the pursuit of the runners. Participants who complete the course and reach the finish line before the gorilla are awarded a special prize. The event serves as a fundraiser where the speed of the participants contributes to donations for a local food shelf.
