10th Annual Gobble Wobble 5K Run/Walk
The Gobble Wobble is a 5K run and walk held on November 22, 2026 at Lake Forest North Elementary School, 319 East Main Street, Felton, Delaware. The event is presented by the Lake Forest Community Education Foundation.
The program includes a 5K run/walk and a free kids race for ages 8 and under; the kids race does not require separate registration. There are competitive walking divisions for students and adults that require participants to walk the entire course.
The course is described as flat and fast through the town of Felton. Race shirts are guaranteed to participants who register by October 31; after that date shirts are available while supplies last. Post race activities include food, drink, Beat the Turkey giveaways, and a costume contest raffle. The team with the most finishers wins a Largest Team Prize Basket; team members must pre-register.
Top finisher awards for male and female winners are given in four categories scored by gun time: 13 and under, 14 to 18 years, Overall any age, and Masters 40 and over. Other age-group awards use chip net time and recognize the top three males and top three females across 14 age groups. Walkers also receive awards for top three male and female finishers. Chip timing is provided by R2R Timing using the MYLAPS BibTag system. Results and photos are posted online after the event.
Proceeds benefit the Lake Forest Community Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
