10th Annual Gobble Wobble 5K Run/Walk
The 10th Annual Gobble Wobble 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for November 22, 2026 in Felton, Delaware, at Lake Forest North Elementary School (319 E Main St). Parking and the race start and finish are located behind the school.
The event features a 5K run/walk and separate competitive walking entries that require walkers to walk the entire course with no running or jogging allowed. Student and adult registration tiers are offered with early and late pricing; online registration closes on November 20 and prices increase on November 1. A free kids race for ages 8 and under is offered with no registration required.
Amenities include event tee shirts guaranteed for participants who register by October 31, post-race food and drink, giveaways, and a costume contest raffle. The "Beat the Turkey" giveaways enter 5K participants who finish ahead of an official slow turkey for additional prizes. The team with the most pre-registered finishers wins a Largest Team Prize Basket.
Top finisher awards for male and female winners are scored by gun time in four categories (13 & under, 14–18, Overall, Masters 40+); all other age-group awards are scored by chip net time with top-three prizes in 14 age divisions. Chip timing will use the MYLAPS BibTag system. Results will be posted online during and after the race. Photos will be posted on the Lake Forest Community Education Foundation Facebook page. The event benefits the Lake Forest Community Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3). No dogs are allowed due to insurance liability; bibs are non-transferable and registrations are non-refundable.
