14th Annual Delaware Tech Chocolate Run 5k
The event takes place on February 14, 2026 at Delaware Technical Community College, Charles L. Terry Jr. Campus in Dover, Delaware. It is a campus-based run and walk that donates proceeds to the Terry Campus Student Emergency Fund and directs a portion of registration fees to Stop Soldier Suicide.
The event offers several participation options:
- 5k run on a single-loop USATF-certified course
- 5k walk
- Virtual 5k
- Competitive walking 5k, walkers must walk the entire race with no running or jogging
- Free Kiddie K for children under 10
Registration details list an entry fee of $40 prior to race day and $45 on race day. Registrations are limited to the first 700 runners and walkers. Event shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed before January 29; supply is limited after that date. There are no refunds on registrations.
Awards are presented to overall male and female champions, overall male and female masters, the top three finishers in five-year age groups from 10 and under through 70 and over, and the top three male and female walkers. Top finisher awards are scored by gun time; other age groups are scored by chip net time.
After the event there is an awards ceremony and hot chocolate, plus chocolate ganache and baked treats prepared by students in the Terry Campus culinary arts program. Volunteer and sponsorship opportunities are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
