Goat Island Games 5 Mile and 5K
The Goat Island Games are scheduled for June 6, 2026, at Goat Island Park and Greenway, 141 8th Avenue, Cramerton, NC 28032. The event celebrates America 250 and is an official Gaston 250 event.
The course starts and finishes at Goat Island Park and follows a route through Downtown Cramerton, past the Veterans Memorial, by Stuart Cramer High School, alongside a train trestle, past a public art sculpture, and through the Lakewood Neighborhood. Both the 5K and the 5 mile courses are USATF certified.
Distances offered:
- 5K - chip timed; 1 hour 5 minute cutoff (21.5 minutes per mile pace)
- 5 mile - chip timed; 1 hour 15 minute cutoff (15 minutes per mile pace)
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups for each distance. The event is part of the Run Gaston Race Series.
Packet pickup is available Friday June 5 at two local locations and on race morning at the start area. Registration includes a chip timed race bib, an official race shirt, and awards. Shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by Monday May 18, 2026. Registration fees are non refundable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
