Goat Cliff Road Race 2026
The Goat Cliff Road Race is a one-mile running event on a paved road that begins on Acorn Creek Road near Lake Burton in Clayton, Georgia. The course includes a sustained elevation gain of about 500 feet as it climbs Sonya Road, offering views of Lake Burton and the North Georgia Mountains along the route. The setting passes through a private road and community that is normally closed to the public; access is provided for the event.
The event includes a finisher T-shirt for participants. Medals are awarded to top finishers across divisions, including Men’s and Women’s divisions, three youth divisions—Little Kids (8 and under), Growing Kids (ages 9 and 10), and Big Kids (ages 11–13)—and a senior division for ages 60 and older.
All proceeds from the event are donated to the local volunteer fire department. Parking at the site is limited; organizers will provide parking instructions closer to the event date. Registration details and any fees are provided by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
