GNOCA 5K Run/Walk in Honor of Jackie Poor and Paula Holm
The GNOCA 5K Run/Walk is a community fundraising event held at Michael's Harborside in Newburyport. The event includes an in-person 5K route described as a run or family-friendly stroll through scenic Newburyport and a virtual 5K option that can be completed on a participant's chosen route. The event is presented with assistance from the Winners Circle Running Club and is endorsed by the New England 65+ Runners Club.
The event supports GNOCA's mission of providing support and assistance to local women living with ovarian cancer and their families, and contributes to research, education, and awareness about the disease.
Distances
- 5K in person at Michael's Harborside in Newburyport.
- Virtual 5K with a flexible participation window from Sunday, September 20 through Sunday, October 3.
Registration opens April 11, 2026 and closes May 31, 2026. Fee structure for in-person registration is: adults $30 until May 31, $35 from June 1 through September 26, and $40 on race day; ages 12 to 17 $15; under age 12 free. Registration supports options for individual or team entries and includes an optional fundraising page. Pre-registered participants may pick up bibs at Marathon Sports in Newburyport or at Michael's Harborside on race day. The event will use bib timing chips for more accurate results.
