Event Overview
The Glow in the Park 5K is an evening running event held at Fisher River Park in Dobson, North Carolina. The 5K course will take place on park trails that are illuminated with blacklights, glow paint, and glow balloons. This is the event's fourth annual iteration.
Event Activities
The event is accompanied by various pre-race and post-race activities. Prior to the run, there will be inflatable games, hayrides, and pumpkin carving. A free concert by the band Runaway Train is scheduled at the amphitheater. After the race, there will be free snacks, s'mores, bonfires, and games.
Registration and Awards
Registration includes a glow-in-the-dark t-shirt, with a deadline to guarantee a shirt size. The event uses chip timing. Every finisher receives a custom medal. Additional awards are given to the top three finishers in multiple age divisions for both male and female participants. A new costume contest has been added for this year, with separate divisions for participants 12 and under and those over 12.
Important Information
