Glow by the Bay 5K, Superior WI
Glow by the Bay is an evening 5K Run/Walk held on the Osaugie Trail in Superior, Wisconsin. The event is part of the Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival and takes place in conjunction with festival activities on Barker's Island. Festival organizers state the Dragon Boat Festival spans August 21 to 22 and is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Superior with proceeds supporting charitable organizations in the Twin Ports.
The event program includes a free Kids Fun Run for children 10 and under; no registration is required for the Kids Fun Run and participating children receive a goodie bag while supplies last. Race services are provided by Tortoise & Hare Race Management and include finish line chip timing, bibs, immediate results that are printed and posted online, and an LED race clock.
Spectator admission to the festival is free. A small cash fee will be charged for parking on both days. Two 5K registration options appear on the event listing: a 5K with T-shirt and a 5K without T-shirt. Friday night festival offerings include food trucks, a beverage tent, and live music.
