Glentress Winter Half Marathon & 10k Trail Races 2026
These trail races take place in Glentress Forest within the Tweed Valley Forest Park. The Saturday programme includes a 21 km trail half marathon and a 10 km trail race. The weekend also features the Tweed Valley Ultra with 65 km and 50 km options.
The venue is Glentress Peel Visitor Centre, near Peebles, EH45 8NB, located between Peebles and Innerleithen and about one hour's drive from Edinburgh. Routes follow waymarked forest trails that include forest walks, woodland singletrack and heather clad moorland.
The 21 km course explores more remote parts of the forest, incorporating sections of the Tower Trail and the Black graded mountain bike route and climbing to higher viewpoints. The 10 km course stays closer to lower sections of the forest and finishes with a descent.
All routes are fully marked so no navigation experience is necessary. The event is organised with qualified and experienced personnel at checkpoints, qualified medical support, online registration, electronic chip timing and a unique finishers medal.
