About the race
The Glenelg Classic is a community running event based at Wigley Reserve, Glenelg. The course heads north around Patawolonga Creek and, for the 10 km, continues north on the coastal trail before returning to Wigley Reserve. The event is SARRC’s final event of the year and offers competitive and timed options over the 10 km and 5 km distances.
Event services and features include a new course layout, finisher medals, electronic timing with certificates, optional finish-line SMS results, overall and age-category awards, and prize money for SARRC members. Drink stations, first aid provision, event photography available for download, and a finish-line post-event area are listed as part of the event experience. Bib collection is provided in advance at RunDNA, 20 Manton St, Hindmarsh, and at Wigley Reserve on race morning.
Entry fees vary by distance and booking period; price tiers are published for super early bird, early bird, and general entry. SARRC members receive a discount and eligible youth entries receive a reduced fee. Prize money is allocated to the top three SARRC members in male and female categories for each distance, and awards are presented for overall and age-category placings.
