Event Information

The Glenariffe Mountain Race 'Spud Run' 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026. It is hosted by Glens Runners and is part of the NIMRA league. The race is supported by the local company Glens of Antrim Potatoes.

The Route

The course covers a distance of 6 miles (9.7 km) and involves 370 metres (1200 ft) of climbing. The start and finish location is the Glenariffe Community & Recreation Centre. The route will be clearly marked.

Entry Details

Entry is exclusively online, with no entries available on the race day. Fees are £12 for affiliated runners and £14 for unaffiliated runners. Entrants must be 17 years or older on the event date. Race substitutions are possible until March 1, 2026, and must be processed online by the original entrant.

Required Kit and Rules

All participants must carry full race kit, including waterproof trousers, coat, hat, gloves, a whistle, and trail or fell shoes. Road trainers are not permitted. In accordance with NIMRA guidelines, the use of walking poles and headphones or earbuds is not allowed. The event uses chip timing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
