Glen Doherty Memorial Road Race
The Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation holds an annual 5K and 10K road race in Winchester on September 20, 2026, with the start in front of Winchester Town Hall. The event is the 14th running of the Memorial Road Race and raises proceeds for the foundation's scholarship fund to support members of the Special Operations community pursuing education or professional training.

Participants may run, walk, or ruck and may join or form teams. A virtual race option is available for 2026; virtual registrants must sign up by September 9 for bib shipping. Race t-shirts are free to the first 500 in-person registered participants; additional shirts and other merchandise are available for purchase during bib pickup and race weekend. Participants are encouraged to pick up bibs on Saturday to avoid lines on race day.
Registration fees vary by period: early bird through July 10, regular registration through September 18, and higher fees on race weekend. Bib pickup and in-person registration take place the day before the race and on race weekend at designated locations in Winchester. The 10K course follows the same route used in 2024 and 2025; 10K participants complete the loop twice.
