Glacier Ridge Trail

Event Format
The Glacier Ridge Trail event offers four race distances. All courses are out-and-back style.
The distances are:
- 50 Mile Ultramarathon
- 50 Mile 5-person Relay
- 50K Ultramarathon
- 20 Mile Trail Run
The 20 Mile and 50K courses primarily follow the blue-blazed Glacier Ridge/North Country Trail system between Moraine State Park and the Jennings Environmental Education Center near Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania.
Location and Schedule
The race start and finish is at the McDanels Boat Launch in Moraine State Park, near Portersville, Pennsylvania.
Packet pickup is available the day before the race at the race location from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with an optional race briefing at 6:00 PM. On race day, packet pickup and check-in begins at 4:45 AM.
Participant Information
Crews are permitted only for runners in the 50K and 50 Mile individual events. Crews may only assist their runner within 100 yards of the established aid stations (Upper 528, Jennings, North Country Club Road).
All finishers, including each relay team member, receive a finisher's medallion. First-place finishers (male and female) in each race distance receive a trophy. All participants receive a technical shirt, with the style (quarter-zip, long-sleeved, or short-sleeved) varying by race distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
