About the race
The Give 'N Gobble is a Thanksgiving Day running event in Dickson, Tennessee, held in downtown Dickson with start and finish areas on North Main Street and Center Avenue near Holland Park and the Clement Railroad Hotel Museum. The in-person program includes a professionally measured and USATF certified 5K course that winds through the McCreary Heights and West Dickson neighborhoods before returning to downtown.
The 5K and the one mile event use RFID chip timing. The one mile fun run and walk follows a downtown route and is described as an approximate distance; mileage tracking apps may not match the course measurement. A virtual Couch 5K option allows remote participation and includes a race shirt, a special bib, and a medal for participants.
Since the first race in 2014, the event has raised over $534,000 for the Dickson County Help Center. The Help Center provides food, clothing, prescribed medication, temporary shelter and limited financial assistance to Dickson County residents on an emergency basis with dignity.
