Bell Ringer Trail Run
The Bell Ringer Trail Run is a trail running event held at Montgomery Bell State Park in Burns, TN on December 12, 2026. The event offers multiple distances on the park's trail network and highlights several uphill and downhill sections; the terrain is described as moderate in difficulty.
The event distances:
- 50K: roughly 31+ miles on the park trail system; includes race shirt, swag bag, and an extra gift.
- 25K: roughly 15 miles on park trails; includes race shirt and swag bag.
- 15K: roughly 9 miles in the woods; excludes the bike trail; includes race shirt and swag bag.
Aid stations are placed approximately every 5 to 6 miles and provide water plus a variety of snacks. The race is cupless; participants should bring their own water bottle or hydration pack. Drop bags are allowed and are collected at the conference center for delivery to Aid Station 3 (listed at mile 8.8, 15.1, and 29.8).
The 50K route includes several hard cutoff checkpoints at specified miles; runners who miss those cutoffs will be asked to stop and will be provided transportation back to the inn. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each distance, with awards made from park wood; all finishers receive medals. Packet pickup takes place at the Montgomery Bell State Park conference center on the days before and of the event.
